The best android phones to get imo are the Google variants offering a clean and Uncompromised UI. Samsung overlays their OS onto android, just as LG, HTC and everyone else does. If you want a phone that doesn't have pre installed junk apps that can't be deleted, go with a google phone - in this case the Google pixel XL. Google phones are feature packed and generally have top tier specs.
