Same thing happened to me. I left it on with Tomb Raider running at 5760 (3 monitors), and I didnt notice the fan cable was stopping the actual fan (of the CPU) to spin, so when i got home after 2 hours it was hell inside the PC case... Just check the fans... Prolly they are dusty or are faulty.
