You're right, his execution doesn't make him wrong. However, I think it's important to point out that not all opinions are equally valid. There's a big difference between "Well, you may support keynesian style policy for pulling an economy out of a recession. But I firmly believe in the economic teachings of Adam Smith and Jean-Baptiste Say." and taking political advice from a guy who thinks that Super Bowl halftime shows are "elaborate illuminati rituals". Especially when the evidence to support said beliefs is little more than heavily edited late-night show style videos about how dumb liberals are. The OP has the same problem. He will gladly scream and shout about the person who wants the art destroyed, and use it as ammunition to lambaste an entire part of the political spectrum while at the same time ignoring the backlash that person recieves from others with the same political ideology. It's not intelectual discussion, it's hackery. |
No one ever said all opinions were equally valid. But Hannah Black who wanted the painting destroyed is just plain wrong and isn't coming from an intellegent POV. It's displaced emotions at best. But guess what? There are some dumb liberals as there are some dumb conservatives as well. Now, do you see consevatives siding with Black? Get the picture now?
