"A little something about working at Gamestop:
-You start off at minimum wage (5.15, currently). After working for 7 months, my pay has gone up to a whole 5.25.
-There really isn't much "fun" involved. It's mainly putting up marketing kits and stocking/organizing games.
-There are no incentives to sell anything except reservations and subscriptions, and even then, if you do well you get nothing more than a pat on the back.
-Every manager gets the power to run his/her store as they think, meaning that if they're cool, it's a better place to work, but if all they care about is store performance, then it's gonna suck.
I still work there because I think my manager is awesome, and as a second job, I must say it's more fun than most other jobs I've had, but only when the store is dead."
That really sucks ass, damn I made better money when I worked at Subway when I was 15(1994) they started me at $6.50 an that was more than a decade ago.... I don't think most retail pays this poorly, but it does prove (as far as employees that don't give a damn) "you get what you pay for"
