What I'm talking about is why do you care if Japanese games are like say, Witcher or GTA or Assassin's Creed... on every consoles. Are you going to tell me these games are bad and don't drive sales? Games made by Sony or MS I don't care if they are exclusives that's not what we are talking about in this thread.  There used to be a good relationship between Japanese devs and MS but MS screwed things up and are now trying to fix things and the question is: "shouldn't we encourage them to do so instead of mocking them for trying?"

You seem to go agains't the idea of them trying because for some reasons... who cares if Sony is ahead? MS can still get these games for those that prefer Xbox, why should it be to convince you to buy one? You may not realize it but imo it really is a barrier you set up between you and the fun you can have with games by not caring whether they are exclusive or not or if they are on another platform or if that platform sells the most...

PS4 owners like me dont want an Xbox for the same games, how can MS sell us their Xboxes? By doing something different and giving us games not available on PS4.

I dont think you know the history of MS and Japan. People liked that era because they had their own exclusives, from JSRF to Lost Odyssey.

People dont care about PS2 ports nor PS4 ports on Xbox. They want new experiences they cant get on Playstation. PS4 ports are gonna bomb on Xbox, thats why no one is porting games, the publishers did the math, they know where the audience is, they dont drive extra sales on Xbox.

Why would I buy Xbox if it's getting DQ11 or Nier when I can get them on PS4, I dont need an extra system for that. It's all about MS trying to make their system attractive to potential customers, and they aint doing it by giving us PS4 owners PS4 ports. Not sure what's so hard to understand.

Also it's not me who has an issue with exclusives it's you, you seem really defensive about it, to me it means nothing, whether MS brings something new to the table and convince us non-Xbox owners to buy their system is up to them.

Not every games has to be exclusive you know. And you will never sell to everyone just like not everyone prefers Sony games or consoles. When I see the efforts Phil is putting in Japan I don't see it like he wants to build a strong relationship full of exclusive titles. I see it more like he wants most big Japanese games to come to Xbox as well as PS or Switch. Right now it's not the case.  Someone that like games like Halo and Assassin's Creed and Persona are in a strange position because Persona could be multiplat thus making that person happy and keep buying MS products. And again, it's not the case right now.

Most gamers care not for exclusives they just want the games they like the most which are multiplat whether you like it or not. People hear that PS4 is the most powerful, and at a lower price and that Xbox is "sh**" compared to PS because they have fewer games, is less powerful and so on and so on... they will just get a Playstation and most of the rest is up to word of mouth and advertizing. Most gamers don't look for exclusives that's just enthusiasts (am I allowed to use that word?) that care for them. Japanese games don't have to be exclusive to Sony unless Sony pays them to and that's why Phil is trying to do something. Now it's up to us as gamers to either mock Phil for trying or encourage him to rebuilt that relationship.
