As an Xbox gamer, I can't say I care much about the state of Japanese gaming as of late. Scalebound wasn't even on my radar if truth be told. MS should go balls out and focus on what the public perception of them is anyway. Shooting, m-rated action, racing, sports, a strong multiplayer community, etc etc. It's what won them last gen in the West. Chasing after the same customer as Sony is pointless. Will they ever conquer Japan? Probably not - but who cares? They'd at least have their fan base in the region who like a more action-y type of playstyle.
