What if the PS4k wasn't the Pro, and is still in development?

If that were the case... AMD and nVidia would never have mid-range GPU's. Everyone would just jump on the high-end cards.
Intel would never need to release a dozen CPU's, AMD either.

Not everyone can justify or afford spending an extra $100-$200 on "faster" hardware, which is why most segments have multiple tiers of price-points.

Besides, isn't the regular PS4 outselling the PS4 Pro? (Correct me if I am wrong, haven't checked any numbers recently.)

Skiping one gives me a year time worth of saving up. And being smart. Street fighter 4 comes out. I'll wait 2 years. I'll only pay 60$, and get everything.
