How can you compete with yourself when its all in the same platform/ecosystem. These are all PS4s here, different spcs and different prices for different customers but they all play the exact same games.

well,firstly the leaked specs of the PS4k turned out being a literal copy and paste of the final specs of the PS4pro. So theres that. And like Pemalite said, PSUs don't only account for the CPU and GPU. They account for everything else that the unit powers including USB ports providing power to other devices and then some headway for inefficiencies.

Oh, not a chance PS5 is coming out next year.

There's no point of the PS4 pro to exsist. The people who want more power, would ignore the pro, and skip to ps4k. That's where the canblizing would start. Than people would be acustom for the middle upgrade, to be abandoned fast. So people would wait it out. Causing sales issues, and brand hate. This is what happened to Street Fighter.
