the Witcher series looks great, has awesome lore, can be immersive, has nice RPG elements (choices in particular for sidequests)- however I too have had difficulty getting into it just because the combat is a bit lumbersome and tends to be just spam the attack (auto sword swing) and dodge, rinse and repeat.
