They areN'T , flour is pretty much the same everywehere, tomato sauce can be packed so that it doesn't break and Mozzarella for Pizza is quite compact so it's very easy to bring...

Depending on the restaurant you ate it you might have not experienced the Italian Pizza, you were in Turin, one of the further cities from Naples in the whole country :v

Yeah, I'm not sure how pizza in Turin is compared to the rest, but it was my French host family that took me there (I was like 15 minutes from the border), so I didn't have much freedom in where I went.
