Definitely, you're not the only one. I used to love going to the theatres when I was young with friends to see brand new movies. Now I see it as annoying. The seats are gross and greasy, people talk during the movie, sleep during the movie, babies cry during a movie, people take out their phones during a movie, they move in an out during a movie, kick your seat, make messes, and I really don't want to deal with vast majority of people.

It's easier to have some close friends over. Make some home-made popcorn for $5 in total, or order cheap pizza, have a beer, wine, or whatever and enjoy the movie. In these cases we don't have to worry about upsetting someone else, we know the relationship between us is more important than the actual movie. It's a good time.

One of my local theaters is really badass about kicking people out if they talk.
