I can see it helping because people were able to play the game and see if all the reviews were true or not. If playing the game and "disagreeing" with the reviews you would go ahead and buy it. And of course if they play the demo and hated it, they wouldn't have gotten the game. Then again that is true of all demos. Is a "paid" demo really any different than a free one though? Does it being 10 hours long make it better at selling the game or hurting it? |
i would have think it helped the sales more than hurt it. i doubt its a bad game, it just seems it isnt fantastic. usually when people see the 75~ score or something around that, they think its a bad game. if they tried it, and liked it, they dont even need to love it, they will most likely buy it.
