Hell, if you are a major fan of Digimon, but not into basement otaku anime garbage then you may still have hard time with this one. I actually recommend Digimon: Dawn/Dusk, which Cyber Sleuth is just a console version of. Doubled the amount of Digimon, A better/faster battle system, and a Plot and tone inline with what you'd expect from Digimon anime. The plot of actually Digimon borrows heavily from Digimon manga/Japan only animes, specifically Digimon Evolution X. Royal Knights/Yggdrasil have been done to death, so even the climax of the plot is just blah. |
Well then i guess you should because as someone who isnt a major fan of the franchise i really loved this game, not only did i liked it more than any of the previous Digimon games i played but i even enjoyed it more than the Pokemon games i beated.

Also on Metacritic: Cyber Sleught (45 reviews) 75 score (alot of people think it got a harsh review score). Majority of reviewers are "positive" reviews (75+). User score 85. World Next Order (31 reviews) 67 score. Majority of reviewers are "mixed". User score = 74.
Im assumeing most people that play this game dont follow the anime/manga.... they just play it for the game it is. Maybe its just me though... I enjoy turn based games, and dont really follow anime's of digimon. I havnt played World Next Order, because the trailers didnt sell me on it. Cyber Sleuth looked much better done imo. |
Added something there.
Also i did a quick search on Metacritic and i guess this will be one of the few times i will agree with that site, since Cyber Sleuth seems to be the highest rated game in the franchise.

Every time you say that one of my Guilmon from World 3 loses a level out of sadness. |
I will play World 3 one day for sure but you also need to get Cyber Sleuth.
