Now. Fuck Microsoft. Fuck Microsoft because they didn't appreciate their relationship with Bioware enough to make a counter offer to EA's. This is where Sony differs. If they have a great relationship with you, they look to cement it. You make games for them but you make it the way you want it. Microsoft should have taken that approach with Bioware. MS should have been that olive branch. But because of MS' lack of foresight, EA got them. And now more then ever before MS could have used a Bioware. But alas.

Have to disagree with the MS part. I can't see why anyone would want a talented studio to be bought by them given their history and making their teams focus on the same thing over and over again. Don't think they would be any better off under them

Should have just stayed independent 

They probably let them go in first place because they didn't achieve halo sales numbers. Microsoft could have had Destiny and Mass Effect exclusive to their Plattform if they would have shown the patience that sony shows towards their developers.
