What are you talking about? This console is likely the fastest console on the market (in terms of UI) since the cartridge days of the 90´s. I know it´s only anecdotal but I haven´t had a single issue with it´s performance so far, which is also the case for a friend of mine who bought it. Getting from sleep mode to playing Zelda is only a few seconds.

This 'all 2,5m launch units are really just devkits and not finalized hardware' is pretty much debunked with the confimation that developers have access to three cpu cores and 3GB of ram for games. The rest is reserved for the OS. These specs aren't going to change anymore, except maybe to improve OS efficiency and free up more RAM and CPU (By moving the OS to the 4 smaller cores) for games.
