I might be wrong but I highly doubt anyone on IGN (or any major gaming website for that matter) are "real" journalist. They are either journalists wanna be or very low quality ones, like sensationalist in the public media.
Gaming journalism has a loooooong way to go to become even remotely good, but hey crap stuff sells so I'm not getting my hopes up.
