UBISOFT BANS 1500 FOR HONOR PLAYERS FOR 'AFK FARMING'
http://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-bans-1500-for-honor-players-for-afk-farming/
"AFK farming" in For Honor is the practice of keeping your character moving in a match—say, by using a rubber band to hold your control stick forward—while you're off doing something else. It's a way to pick up end-game rewards and progress your character without actually playing the game, and of course it's very much against the rules. Ubisoft said earlier this month that addressing the problem "has become a top priority," and that violators would be hit with anything from warnings to suspensions, either temporary or permanent.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS' HONOR SYSTEM IS GETTING A 'SIGNIFICANT OVERHAUL'
http://www.pcgamer.com/league-of-legends-honor-system-is-getting-a-significant-overhaul/
League of Legends' "Honor system" was revealed in 2012 as a "positive feedback initiative" that gives players the ability to reward their fellow combatants for outstanding behavior in the game. "Through Honor, you can acknowledge summoners who helped make your game awesome by clicking on the 'thumbs up' icon next to the summoner name at the post-game lobby," the LoL Honor page explains. "You’ll also receive Honor of your own when you impress your fellow summoners with your sportsmanship in the game."

STARCRAFT REMASTERED RUMORED TO BE COMING THIS SUMMER
http://www.pcgamer.com/starcraft-remastered-rumored-to-be-coming-this-summer/
A rumor went up last year that an HD update of Blizzard's great sci-fi RTS StarCraft was in the works and would be announced in September of 2016. Blizzard declined to confirm or deny the report, saying only that "we don't have any announcements to make at this time," but September came and went without any action, and that, by all appearances, was the end of it.

DEAD RISING 4 IS NOW AVAILABLE ON STEAM
http://www.pcgamer.com/dead-rising-4-is-now-available-on-steam/
Dead Rising 4 debuted in December 2016 as a timed exclusive on the Microsoft Store, and overall we thought it was pretty good stuff. We described it in our review as a "sandboxy zombie-killing adventure that recaptures the series' fun," despite a few shortcomings—one of them being that it was only available on the Windows Store. Ironic, eh? But those contractual sands have now slipped through the hourglass of platform protectionism, which is an unnecessarily long way of saying you can now get it on Steam.

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE MID SEASON REINFORCEMENTS UPDATE BUFFS GLAZ'S SCOPE
http://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-siege-mid-season-reinforcements-update-buffs-glazs-scope/
Ubisoft has detailed this week's mid season reinforcements update to Rainbow Six Siege, and while it's not as huge as previous patches, it ushers in a handful of significant changes. Chief among these is a buff to Glaz's sniper scope: his sights now boast thermal visual feedback. That doesn't mean he'll be able to see through walls, though smoke and gas will no longer present a problem.

WHAT REMAINS OF EDITH FINCH WILL REVEAL ITS MYSTERIES IN APRIL
http://www.pcgamer.com/what-remains-of-edith-finch-will-reveal-its-mysteries-in-april/
We described What Remains of Edith Finch in our great big Guide to the Games of 2017 as a first-person adventure for the whole family, "if your family is haunted by an ancient curse." It's a collection of strange tales about an extended clan in Washington State, told from the perspective of "uncles, sisters, brothers, cousins, and more," each from a different era and featuring its own unique style of play—and all of them ending in that family member's death.

DIABLO 3 SHOWCASES ELUSIVE NECROMANCER CLASS AHEAD OF PTR DEBUT
http://www.pcgamer.com/diablo-3-showcases-elusive-necromancer-class-ahead-of-ptr-debut/
After a significant amount of teasing, Diablo 3 formally announced the incoming arrival of its Necromancer class at last year's BlizzCon. Blizzard has now revealed more on what to expect from the "reimagining" of Diablo 2's supernatural beings.

CRYPT OF THE NECRODANCER ADDS MODDABLE HARD MODE TO AMPLIFIED EARLY ACCESS DLC
http://www.pcgamer.com/crypt-of-the-necrodancer-adds-moddable-hard-mode-to-amplified-early-access-dlc/
Crypt of the Necrodancer is the rhythmic roguelike Chris once described as "beautifully designed, tough, and cheerful" where players are rewarded for their perseverance "with a singular feeling of finesse." I couldn't argue with that and while I've yet to sample its Amplified DLC that landed in Early Access in January, the prequel chapter appears to growing into a similarly rewarding game.
