I cant forsee a major shift in PS3 sales because of MGS4. Many of the core audience are the same guys that are defending the PS3 tooth and nail on forums, which means they already have a PS3. I don't think that anything but a large price drop can make a lasting increase on sales for the system. If you need proof of this, take a look at the brief surge from GTA4, which has come and gone in a matter of weeks.
