I don't think he'd ever be outright dishonest in a review.
I do think it's possible that while he truly didn't enjoy certain aspects of the game, he may play up the extent to which these aspects bothered him in order to make his review stand out a bit from the crowd.
It's tough out there for web personalities. You constantly have to fight for a limited resource konwn as attention. I think it's silly to believe that this kind of stuff doesn't enter their heads sometimes.
It's probably sillier to freak out about "bad" review scores though.
