I wish sony would not kill off playstation portable brand

I don't think Sony will do another portable, unless they are way more stubborn than predicted. The only scenarios I see it happen would be:
- AMD manages to redesign the PS4 APU to fit a tablet form-factor and they create a portable, digital-only, PS4. It would already have a huge library and tons of games. I don't know if they could do it, since current PS4 Slim uses 100w and a tablet SoC must be at 10w tops. End of the gen, maybe? That's usually when smartphones start to catch up consoles.
- An Android device, like Xperia Play. But instead of using Xperia branding, it would be designed by SCEE and would be purely PS branded.

Anyway, I don't think any of these cases will happen. Probably VR is now their "second" platform and that's were they will expend their research money.
