I'm not a huge handheld fan because I so prefer playing on a big screen, but both the PSP and VITA has been a rock for JRPGs. I have my PSP connected to the TV via component cables, and I game VITA games with the PSTV. A lot of great games. In my book, PSP was a huge success. This VITA would have flourished if it weren't for the proprietary memory cards.
