I hope they do.
7+ year generations is way too long.
When the Xbox 360 launched most PC's didn't even have PCI-E slots and the top of the line graphics card was a 7800GTX.
Fast forward to the Xbox One launch and PCI-E was at 3.1 and the 780 Ti was the latest and greatest.
There were 8 generations of GeForce graphics cards released over the 8 years between the 360 and the One.
Having to play GTA 5 in 2013 on low settings at 720p/24FPS was awful.
As long as they support the consoles for more than 4 years, the OPTION to have better hardware is a great idea.
