I'm starting to feel Zelda BotW is special for more than just its massive world and amount of freedom. There's so many features and changes made that make this one really special. Being able to cook and make different stat boosting foods and potions is really a joy to do and really makes me feel like I'm preparing for a journey. You're able to use more weapons than just a sword, and there's many different types of weapons as well (I never thought I'd be able to use a spear in Zelda), shield boarding down hills is such a blast, the many ways you can approach a challenge makes each one exciting, whether it's killing monster camps or solving puzzles in shrines. Characters are much more interesting, lively and quirky (I love Prince Sidon, he's just... so great and charming)
I feel I can go on and on about all the little things in BotW. It's just.. so excellent.
