MICROSOFT IS MAKING A SMALL BUT GREAT UI CHANGE TO WINDOWS 10 GAME SETTINGS

Microsoft's Xbox app has some functionality we really like integrated into it. Built-in gameplay capture? Cool. Game Mode? Has potential. Streaming from an Xbox One console? Surprisingly decent! But as we've complained before, none of these things are front and center, instead hidden behind social updates and ads for other games. So I was pleased to discover in a demo with Microsoft last week that the upcoming Creators Update for Windows 10 will move the settings for those games out of the Xbox app. Soon, they'll live in the same Settings menu as everything else in Windows 10.

"Become a ghost," the Ghost Recon Wildlands launch trailer says, following clips that include machine-gunning moving cars, engaging in high-speed chases with minigun-equipped dune buggies, blowing up oil refineries, and blasting airborne helicopters into massive construction cranes.

 

LEAK SUGGESTS NINJA AND CENTURION ARE COMING IN FOR HONOR'S FIRST DLC RELEASE

A image posted to the For Honor subreddit indicates that the first two DLC heroes to join the For Honor lineup could be the Centurion, probably for the Knight faction, and the Ninja, who will obviously run with the Samurai. It's entirely unofficial, and there's a bit of placeholder text in the image that looks a little dubious, but on the whole I'd say it looks pretty believable, even if it's not yet clear how the new heroes will fit in.

A new Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer takes a closer look at the game's seven "Golden Worlds," the hoped-for new homes for the Milky Way species making the 600-year trek to the Andromeda galaxy. The video also reveals a bit about how the colonization process will unfold, and what's expected of the Pathfinder team that's leading the way.

ANA COULD BE THE NEXT OVERWATCH HERO TO BE NERFED

The long range healer Ana might be getting a pretty significant nerf to her damage output, according to the current slate of balance changes being tested on the Overwatch public test realm. On the PTR, her Biotic Rifle now does 60 damage per shot to enemies (down from 80), while impact from her Biotic Grenade now does 30 damage (down from 60) to enemies and 50 healing (down from 100) to allies.

At E3 2015, DayZ creator Dean Hall announced a partnership with technology company Improbable that'd see the pair work on an "emergent narrative MMO" named Ion. Information has been thin on the ground since and now, almost two years on, it appears work on the project has been halted indefinitely.
