And why cant we celebrate a good Nintendo news for a change?

I never said that this is confirmation that the Switch will be a success, but that is the first step to be successful(hence the might in my last post).Really, Nintendo simply cant catch a break.

I never said you said it was gonna be a success. I never said it won't. And pls drop that nonsense, this has nothing to do with celbrating good news or what not. That kinda petty shit is exactly what turns every simple discussion into a fan war.

All I am saying and have been saying is that what time of the year a console launches at doesn't matter. This overly sensitive nonsense talking as if me simply pointing that out is somehow slanting nintendo is just uncalled for. i have also said that to me its sales performance is only expected. And that what is more important is how it does through the rest of the year.

A lot of stuff do great right off the gates but that doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. If my pointing that out somehow to you seems like I am somehow throwing shade at a successful launch (which is what this is cause they went through the stock they made available) then I am sorry. But thats not what thisis at all.

This "petty shit" is gaming news.We are in a gaming site and forum.Every kind of news can be turned into a petty console wars.Just look at this thread and you can clearly see that there are incorrigible users that jump at Nintendo throaths at any chance and there are ones that praise every single Nintendo decision as if they never make mistakes. That wont stop me from congratulating an achievement by a company, be it predictable or not.Otherwise we stop discussing or enjoying gaming in general, because there will always be that one salty user who will cause a mayhem no matter the situation.

What i meant with my original comment is that, like you said, they had a successful launch by all accounts. And while this obviously dosent mean that the Switch will end up being a successful console, it means that it started well. Its not that having a bad launch helps things.Thats all that I meant.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
