Talks about how HD rumble could be used in Skyward Sword. I'm thinking it'll be the next Zelda game we wind up getting. It seems pretty obvious, especially since the switch joy-cons would work perfectly for it.

I'd really love that to be honest. It's the only console Zelda game that I didn't play (have played all the rest, but by the time it released I'd moved on from the Wii and honestly didn't notice as I was damn busy drinking in college at the time lol)

From what I'm hearing the desync issue isn't much of a problem for most and, otherwise, they're the most advanced motion controllers to date. I might be a rarity, but I'd love to give Skyward Sword a try in this setting, especially as I can just hop back on Breath if I get that open world itch.

As much as I love open world, more linear approaches can be fun too... they just don't have the same staying power or replayability.

I hope this is true! In fact, I'm rather hoping a lot of the Wii U games get ported over as well... so many of them were great but got no love as not many people had their console, and if they port those they can dedicate their resources elsewhere. I'm more than OK with upgraded ports of Mario Kart 8/Smash Bros etc being the main iterations for Switch if it means manpower and money getting put into other projects.
