IIRC, the PS4 sold 1M the first day in the US and another million at EU launch day 2 weeks later. Nintendo planned to sell 2M in the first months, so I'm not sure the Switch launch will be bigger.
This launch will be big anyway, the real question is how it will sell in a couple of months, when the fanbase will already have their console.
