As for OP. To each their own I guess. I personally don't see why one would pass up on a NEW console with different games and just get a slight upgrade on something, especially if they are planning on getting that new console sometime this year anyway. Makes more sense to get the new one now and upgrade later.

To me it's the opposite , He buys a console with a good sized library and plenty of new first quarter games, and he then picks up a switch that's matured over time with a bigger library and feature set.
