I have R7-1700X, I did try with encode, winrar, zip, render and transfers with overclocked and 3200Mhz RAM, it's fast, however i have never tried games yet. I was utterly busy with those workstation dudes.
Oh yeah, for gaming, i don't think they should go for R7 since this CPU have a lot of cores/threads, R5 1600X might be better for gaming, perhaps we'll see R5 1600X benches sometime later.
