He specifically says that he was playing it normal with a Pro controller, and you can see the headphones are conected.

 

Don't expect me to take random youtuber as an authority, but who the hell plays portable mode with a pro controller? What a weird test.

 

So... if you play with headphones and pro controller and your gamepad stays in one place at 75% brightness, you may get 3 hours according to Mr. Youtuber! Glad we got that straightened out.
