Yes, but how do you do that? You can't. Gentrification is a natural order. There is no way for it to not happen.

If a poor area improves itself, people with more money will move in. Renters will see that they can raise prices and will, thus forcing out the poorer people. It's a natural thing that can't be stopped.

Same as those trying to stop the pay gap. There will always be rich and poor people. You can't stop that.
