Last gen was all about 720p, this gen SHOULD'VE been all about full 1080p and next gen 4K. But nope, it didn't work out like that.

In 2012 I finally ditched my 480p TV and upgraded to 720p and I thought that was the best TV ever! It was a 31" screen so the ppi was high. I NEVER thought about upgrading until 2016. Since 1080p TVs were heading out the door I snagged a 4K gaming monitor and sometime this week I'm going to snag a PS4 Pro.

When I played GTA V on PS3 I was stunned! The graphics looked so good. Qhen I played Nintendo Land and BO2 on Wii U I thought the graphics couldn't get any better! Then I got PS4 on my 720p TV and couldn't believe how advanced the graphics were. Then when I got my 4K Monitor my PS4 looked brilliant! THEN the PS4 Pro announcement came out and I thought to myself "Wait... it can get better?.... just 3 years ago I was blown away with GTA V on PS3 at 720p."

After the PS4 Pro I'm done lol. No scoprio, no nothing until next gen comes out. This gen at 1080p 60fps was good enough for me....

Once we fully get to 4K, i hope we focus on frame rate. Getting all games minimum 60fps and over. Resolution had it's time! Framerate we're looking at you! But hey, it's way too soon for us to fully achieve 4K. We're talking about next gen here!
