Well, I can see their point.

A switch , or a wii coming out, or something like that is exciting and new. It's not just a new box and same controller. They are new ways to play. Are they going to be better? That's not the point.

The Scorpio will come out touting its specs, yet playing games that that look roughly the same as on the One/PS4/S/Pro. At least for a year or two as do all new systems.

I mean are people excited for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because of its 1080p 60fps? Sure it's nice, but for all purposes its the same game. (Wii U was 720p 59fps right?) But the more exciting part is (beyond true battle mode) is the potential of its mobility. Taking it on the go as well as playing at home. That is exciting, not a slight res bump or a fps increase to an already smooth experience. (I always feel there should never be unsmooth experiences. If your game is choppy, reduce something to make it smooth)

I brought up an "HD PORT" as example, cause new hardware tends to see a lot of them first year or two.
