Scorpio is VR to the masses. Will probably have a occulus 2.0 bundle and push VR to mainstream and will be amazing. This analyst is just a nintendo fan and nothing more.

Switch is the most powerful mobile console, it is still about power.

Making games for scorpio and for the ps4 will cost the same, the only thing is that scorpio will have better lighting, physics and textures that are already created in the current console cycle, they only trim it down before downscaling to console limiting power.

The asset creation costs are will remain the same.

Breath of The Wild has a AAA budget bigger than most AAA games form ubisoft for example.

Do you have any source for that besides wishful thinking. I would love that to be true, yet atm it seems unlikely Scorpio will cost less than 399 if even that, while OR version one is still 599 + 199 for motion controllers. So how is an OR 2.0 bundle going to be for the masses?

Sure the asset creation costs will remain the same, which also means there's no real benefit to pro or scorpio besides resolution or lighting. No better textures or higher quality models. It's still extra work to balance the game for the extra modes and so far it looks like developers aren't going all out to get the best out of ps4 pro, just a little resolution increase and some bumps in draw distance. (Which can still be significant in VR) Why would it be different for Scorpio?

So yeah, I disagree with the article that it will cause a jump in development costs, just a slight increase for QA on different models. But I must say that these revisions are for a niche market and will only become the dominent console when the cheaper one is phased out.
