I've never understood the deal that is made about bathrooms. This is not some hangout, club place. You go in, do your business and leave. I'd be fine with unisex bathrooms for all I care.

Now onto people "feelings"

Everyone when arguing over this always seems to bring up that people don't want transgenders in their bathroom, cause it will make them feel weird, ect. But let's just look at how the transgender feels..

Let's say this is not a school or your work "where everybody knows your name", thus are not accustomed to you entering said bathroom. This is a random public restroom. Somewhere were you are a stranger. "You" in this scenerio are a transgender person. You are a transgender person that looks opposite what you feel.

Okay, so your now walking into a restroom and what happens. The people in their get shocked, surpriksed, gawk, ect. Some will quickly yell in surprise, 'wrong bathroom' (not cause their genderphobic, just cause they thought a male walked into a female or vise versa) Some will look at you weird as a curiosity. Some may be assholes (there are those in the world) Some will want to talk to you cause of curiosity. Some will sneak pics on their camera. Some mom/dad seeing you enter while their kid is in there may freak out. Say your already in there adn someone walks in. They see you and go "whoops, sorry wrong bathroom" They leave, re-look at the sign and come back in. Ect.
Say what you want about all those people, but the point is legality aside, this does not sound like a fun experience for the transgender going to the bathroom. I would think it would be more enjoyable just going into the restroom that you "look like", you know so you just get ignored.
Ignore the non transgenders peopels feelings, I wouldn't be surprised if I never experience this situation in my life. But just think about the transgenders feelings. I feel like they would feel singled out less if they just went into what they looked like versus felt like.

Now in my scenerio, I used a transgender that doesn't look how they feel. If they look how they feel, I can't imagine they have any troubles. Again they would just fit in, in that place of "business"
