Waiting is probably the best thing to do at this point, especially with a few of the issues that have been revealed, and a few questions left unanswered by Nintendo. If the Joycon controller issue is more in the HW and can't be easily fixed with an update, I would imagine Nintendo will put out a revision quickly that does fix it. And if sales slow like the 3DS did, there's a good shot we're going to see at least a $50 cut by the holiday season, but with a game included. That and you get the added benefit of more games, with some of the earlier 3rd party games probably also seeing price cuts by the holidays. So, yea, I think you made the right decision.
