I think for a few reasons there is so much crazyness

1) First I don't think the Wii has anything to do with the constant attacks/war you see everywhere, for the most part, the Wii is doing its own thing... It all comes down to 360 vs PS3... which comes to #2:

2) Playstation having a head start each generation:

PS1: 1995
N64: 1996
Dreamcast: 1998

PS2: 2000
Xbox: 2001
Gamecube: 2001

The headstart helped them tremendously in dominating the console wars the last 2 generations. This time around, they were last. Which gave the Xbox360 a head start to get even.

3) Hardware, The 360 & PS3 are so samiliar powerwise that people will obviously compare the 2 trying to find some little reason 1 is better then the other

4) Dead even. What we see now is the PS3 catching up, their both pretty even, and when 2 products are competiting against each other and their so close in sales, your only going to get a huge flame war about everything.

If the 360 came out and completly blew the PS3 out of the water and had more then 5x the sales of the PS3, all these flamewars wouldn't be happening. But no, saleswise PS3/360 are pretty much even, Hardwarewise they are pretty even, launch wise they are pretty even. Cost wise they are pretty much even. Your bound to have ppl explode in anger against each other defending their purchase.

Like I said, if the competition was uneven, PS3 being 10x more powerful, or 360 selling 10x more, etc, things wouldn't be like this...but things are so close we're bound to argue.

ok you have several things wrong

5th Generation:

Sega Saturn: November 1994

Playstation: December 1994

Nintendo 64: June 1996

6th Generation

Dreamcast: November 1998

Playstation 2: March 2000

Gamecube: September 2001

Xbox: November 2001

I think the "head start" barely helped the PS1 & PS2. it was actually the  amount of AAA titles that appeared  in their 2nd and 3rd year into their lifespan. think about it in 1996-1997, FFVII, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, and several others helped the PSone get a big boost. in 2001 the PS2 saw Final Fantasy X, Grand Theft Auto III, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid 2, Jak and Daxter.  The Reason the Xbox keeps "Failing" is because both consoles bombed in Japan as it is still the biggest Gaming market right now (Europe is 2nd, NA is 3rd).  I still support Nintendo because of the Nintendo games.

I think the same thing accounts for 360 too. LOL VGchartz=home to desperate SONY fanboys. Its funny how you rank them according to how good PS3 is doing in each region(2nd, 3rd but close to 2, 3 but miles away) and do the opposite for 360 (3rd but close to 2 , 2nd, 2nd but close to 1). Too many SONY fanboys in this site but I presume they are everywhere as they have nothing better to do. How do you define "Failing" I think if you look in a dictionary PS3 is a better example when compared to the hype and PS2.

You make me want to throttle you

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD
