A micro war is still possible. And no, it's not blown out of proportion. This is concerning a lot of countries. China is slowly eating away South East Asia. From a miltaristic stand point it will be a huge loss for US. For a business standpoint, all will feel the incoming choke hold. Militarizing those international shipping routes will do bad for the whole economy. This is something you cannot deny.
There's a reason why Taiwan and Hong Kong are still in status quo with main land China(PRC). They're not demonized. It's not blown out of proprtion. They're really hungry for power.
