How close is Metacritic's scores to your feelings of your favorite series?

So, my score is not the same as the Metascore, but the differences aren't too big (except for Emerald, but that's probably due to nostalgia - it was my first real game).

Pokemon is my favourite series too.

It's interesting how no one game in the series is the clear best one(gold/silver has a good case though)Each person has a different game they regard as the best. People opinions vary for this series more than any other.

My ranking:

Platinum:83 -->93

Soulsilver:87 -->90

White:87 -->87

White 2: 80-->89

X: 87-->80

Moon: 87-->92

 

I may or may not be biased towards Platinum since it was my first game.

Before even reading the last sentence I was gonna ask if Platinum was your first Pokemon game. This is pretty much the case with everyone, their first Pokemon game will be their favourite. For me it is Pokemon Red/Blue. I feel it has something to do with falling in love with the concept at first before realizing how many flaws the entire franchise has that never get fixed, and probably never will due to the way the games are set up. I feel like the whole concept is stale and flawed, and rebooting Pokemon franchise completely with a modern take on it, without all the random encounters and the bs of the past, that the game could ever feel fresh again.
