Neither. RE4 destroyed classic RE and The Last of Us (of which I own) is basically just an interactive movie. I personally hate one of those games and dislike the other because of the type of game it is.

Having said that, I am not biased enough that I can't see how TLOU is a great game. I just dislike that type of game.

If it is then it's only just in that category. When playing on the difficulty setting that presents a challenge for your skill level then it is a fine video game in addition to being a good story. There is no doubt that it's the story and characters (including the supporting characters) that really make this game the awesome experience it is for thos of us who regard it as a true classic. So you do have to appreciate that aspect to call it a great game. But I don't accept the interactive movie label. Not least because it is so ill defined that it is probably the sub-genre on which there would be great difficulty in getting general agreement on what's in and out.
