I'm not talking about a minority which you are. Also most ex Muslims have a bone to pick with the religion as it don't fit into their lifestyle and they pretty much hate the faith so say anything.
I'm talking about the majority of Muslims living in the UK who live by the tenants of faith and not made up stuff by the far right, far left or ex Muslims who often know very little about their faith.
My brother is a class example of this. He is an ex Muslim, he barely learnt anything about the faith yet he speaks as if he is an authority simply because he is an ex Muslim. For those who hate Islam they see him as an authority just for being an ex Muslim. |
We you can easily dismiss everyone then there is no argument. You just went through and dismissed everyone cause it didn't fit your narrative. They also talked about other muslims as well and how a lot of muslims don't even realize the things their religion is saying. Which made sense because it's similar to what christians and catholics do. A good one is tat's which are strictly prohibited but you'll see many relgious people wearing them.
Also you said "the majority of muslims who are living by the tenants of the faith". Is it possible that they are not living by the tenants of the faith and doing like many catholics and christians do and picking and choosing what they follow? Also the ex muslims I'm reffereing to were speaking at an engagement and pointing to specific examples in the kohran which they pulled up the exact wording. So they weren't making it up. These were people who had 15-20 years in the faith and after learning more and more could no longer continue being involved in it.
