The point is media is discrediting itself calling Pewdiepie a fascist and other terms and feels it has some self righteous obligation to call out everyone that does not agree with their world view.
What he did was silly and stupid but the content of Youtube Star is over the top all the time.
If people wonder why people treat respectable media sources with disdain, this is an apt example.
