My PS2 was hooked up to component cables since 2001 and it is a launch unit. Actually the slim did not have an expansion bay for a harddrive, so it had a smaller feature set then the original. |
Ah, I thought they switched the output plug. Someone lied to me! ... Waitaminute, it was the GameCube that changed the ability to use component. *slaps forehead* |
Sony added an IR sensor to the PS2 Slim as well as an ethernet port.
