PS winning a gen is the norm though which they've done twice before while having weaker hardware. And last gen saw the Wii lead which was the weakest. Implying (im not saying you are, but for someone who does) that a generation will be won or lost based on the power of a console is absurd when all historical data points to last gen being an anomaly, and this gen being "back to normal" with Sony on top. They've been #1 3 out of 4 times while not being the most powerful 2 out of 4 times. That PS4 is the most powerful this time around and still winning is a coincidence, I'd say the brand behind the product is a much bigger reason for their success.

Well...you're already bringing up a lot of stuff that wasn't even part of my responses.  I never implied to not acknowledging the general trend and how often that saying of console power/sales does hold up; however, we're now witnessing a time where that sentiment has been challenged by PS4.  It's like people still using Miyamoto's old "broken/delayed game" saying: I acknowledge the sentiment and generally believe that to be true, but we're in an era of Early Access titles, constant patches, etc. which have challenged the notion that a 'broken' game stays bad 'forever.'

I too believe that to be the case.

I believe that about the early access phase as well. What I was trying to point out is that there's no correlation to hardware power and market leader.
