Is this powered by a combustion engine or batteries/electric motor?

A $4000 drone with eight propellers lifts 8 kg at most and has a flight autonomy of 20 minutes:

So, the math... doesn't seem favorable to this one, assuming it's real and not something shady and possibly fake like the Korean avatar robot.

Besides, the concept isn't exactly new. It reminds me a lot of the world's smallest helicopter, whose practical use and autonomy was also dismal:

Let's remind everyone that a good old bicycle is the most energy-efficient transportation mean known to man and a cheap one will set you back only a few dozen bucks.

Yeah, that Far Cry 4 minicopter runs on diesel, it´s cheap and very low tech. And, guess what, it really works. I would be afraid to drive one though. If it fails, you´re done.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
