So the question is, why do your kids need to log in to your profile in order to play a game? Couldn't they have their own profile? Otherwise you might as well share your profile between an entire family and friends and have a shared library. Perhaps a good workaround would be an IP check and if the 2 consoles are connected have the same IP then it could recognize they are 2 "primary" consoles on the same household. Still it wouldn't be ok to have the same game playing on both consoles at the same time, but as long as the game being played was different it would be like having a physical disk in the tray. |
They need to log into my profile as save games, including Minecraft worlds, are locked to profiles. To be able to play on our shared world they need to start Minecraft from my profile. Same with Terraria and Lego dimensions. Luckily I never played Skylanders with them and they started that on their own profile.
I'm not trying to play the same game on 2 consoles, 2 different games on the same profile. If the same profile logs in from the same IP, why not allow it? You can be logged into ps3 and ps4 at the same time. We never had this issue before when my kids played on the ps3 with me on the ps4.
