I buy most my games at full price, day one, for CAD 80 nowadays. I do have a backlog and plenty of those day 1 games end up not being played until a year later or more.

I find that if I start waiting I keep waiting forever as they never reach that value/price point for me anyway, which my 26 item wishlist on Steam is prove off. Besides instead of buying that now finally discounted game, I'll either be playing something from my (expensive) backlog or something new that's still talked about. It adds more fun when a game is still in the spotlight leading to discussions, not everything having been discovered yet, swap screenshots etc.

Plus if a game is not of the replay again later kind, trading it in a month after release is the same as waiting for the equivalent discount for a year. Sure you don't get to keep it, good, less clutter. I only keep the things I like the most on my game shelves. (And shameful backlog titles)

It's for a good cause, yet looking at that page gives me anxiety, no time for all that! I guess I can just download The witness and ignore the rest :)
