Idk if I would call it an RPG but it is easily the best zombie/"end of the world" game I have ever played. The permadeath really adds a layer of tension, immersion, and excitement that other games in its genre lack. Games like Dead Rising and Days Gone have impressive zombie counts on screen, but if you die, you just respawn, so it makes it a lot less impactful.
And now we will have that awesomeness, plus online play. Gonna be gud.
