Yeah...I get not wanting to use the controller to input text (I use a wireless keyboard myself) but you can't use the touchscreen on the Switch if it's plugged into the tv. Also, the Joycons are really limited in what they can be used for (they're also supposed to be super uncomfortable). So...I don't know.
