That's funny, because off of a full charge mine only lasts about 33 hours of actual gameplay (XCX, Fatal frame and a bit of MK8), which is less than half the advertised and much repeated time of 80 hours, and it was only a month old at the time.

Again, both the 80 hours for the wiiu pro controller and the 40 for the switch are estimates for minimal input.

Conversely, my standard xbox one controller lasts about the same as the wiiu pro controller did, when using a set of eneloop rechargable AA batteries.

So if we estimate that the realistic battery life of the controller under heavy use is say.. half the estimated, that puts the switch pro controller at 20 hours give or take a few., significantly less than my xbox one controller under the same usage.

So where's your "vastly suprior" now?

How long is the Dualshock 4 battery?

Around 16 hours because I put a $5 2000 mAh battery in it, and make use of the light at dimming feature in the newer firmwares (which on its own dramatically improves the standard battery life) and much like every other controller I have, when I'm done playing it gets sat on the charge stand, both functional AND tidy.

Now the real question is, who plays for more than 8 hours at a time? Thus making the whole argument redundant to begin with.

You could have a battery that lasts forever but if your daily play time is under 10 hours, simply putting your controller in its dock in between play sessions makes having infinite battery redundant anyway.

P.s. the eneloops in my Xbox one controller take half as long to charge as the stated time listed by Nintendo for the switch, too.
